Jennifer Hood

Jennifer has 17 years of experience in outpatient, orthopedic physical therapy and has been able to work one-on-one with patients of all ages and activity levels throughout the Triangle in the course of her career. Born and raised in Wisconsin, she attended University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse and received her Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Sport Science/Athletic Training. She completed her graduate work in Physical Therapy at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 2003.
Jennifer Hood is passionate about providing exceptional, individualized care. She actively listens to the patient’s personal goals and works diligently to supply them with the tools they need to reach those goals. She applies an integrative approach of manual therapy including dry needling, soft tissue mobilization and joint mobilization, cupping, functional exercise prescription, and patient education to best suit each patient. She prides herself in identifying the root cause of the injury or dysfunction and correcting it to allow each patient to reach their full potential.
Jennifer graduated with a Masters’ Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of North Carolina at
Chapel Hill and holds a Bachelor's in Exercise Sport Science/Athletic Training from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse. She has worked with multiple sports in her athletic training career including football, cross country, basketball, swimming and diving, and baseball. Through her training and experiences in physical therapy and athletic training, Jennifer has evaluated biomechanics for athletes across the board of varied skills and sports.
When Jennifer is not working, she enjoys traveling with her husband and family, hiking, running, weight training, cheering on her sons in all of their sport endeavors and finding new areas of North Carolina to explore. She has completed over 20 half marathons and continues to run two half marathons a year.
