Emily Martone

Emily Martone grew up in rural Northeast Pennsylvania, not far from where “The Office” took place. She was an avid track & field mid-distance runner through middle school, high school, and club collegiate levels. Her desire to pursue a career as a physical therapist was brought along by working with an exceptional therapist rehabbing a running injury. She experienced firsthand how quality PT and upholding a high standard of patient care can have such a great impact on patients and the surrounding community.

Emily went on to obtain her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Penn State University and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University. She enjoys treating a variety of conditions and patient populations including athletes of all ages, SI joint dysfunction, and running injuries.

She migrated south to North Carolina to escape Pennsylvania winters and to be in proximity to the mountains, beach, and all the fun things NC has to offer. Outside of the clinic, Emily enjoys following sports (go Islanders!) and doing anything outdoors. You’ll usually find her running, traveling, gardening, or hiking in her spare time.
